When you browse

Appearance preference

The default appearance follows your device. If you choose light or dark mode, the site stores that choice in your browser's local storage under the key otherwise-appearance. Returning to Auto removes the saved choice. The preference stays on your device; we do not receive it. This preference does not identify you, and the site sets no cookies of its own.
